Another Prompt...

In our materialistic world, what we own is often as important as what we are. This, however, isn't a really new "trend" as tribes in Africa (and other traditional peoples) have often equated personal value to personal wealth.

So, here's the question: What accessory might one of your characters have that they would NEVER be without? How does it define their attitude and personality?

For example: My Tam Lin wouldn't be without the small silver bell that hangs around his neck on a leather thong. It was a gift from childhood and one of the few things that allows him to still feel a bond with the mortal realm. I'll let you draw initial conclusions about him since he is never without the bell...

So, what might you write or detail about one of your characters--or yourself?

Well Nikolas is a business man so I could see him always wearing an expensive watch. But he has the heart of an artist so it would have an engraving on the back in French to remind him of Simone, whose family orginally came from that country.

Simone is a writer so I think she would always have a copy of her bood with her. Though that is not really an accesory. The only acceosory she wears in the book is her engagement ring from the wrong man.

Good choice for Nikolas. Have you seen the accessory-style books (sometimes they get listed as altered books, etc.) that people wear as necklaces? That might be a fun way for Simone to keep a book with her...
Ooo--I see cross-marketing potential there...;-)

Eh, just an idea. :-)

Yep, there's what we'll do... You get published with Nikolas and Simone, start arranging signings and I'll hook you up with an artisan that can make Simone's book and you can sell them at signings as a package deal ;-) There I go dreaming again! :o)

What is the most interesting city or setting to you?
